Lederne – the Norwegian organization of managers and executives
Lederne is the Norwegian organization for management, engineering and expertise development. The members are employees with management responsibilities, knowledge and experience. Lederne is also an organization for engineers and technical staff with a high degree of responsibility in their work.

Lederne has 15.000 members in more than 1 200 companies all over Norway and abroad. The members represent companies within a broad spectrum of industry, like:
- traditional industry
- transport
- oil and gas
- mining
- groceries
- vehicle sector
- hotels and restaurants
- security
- labour market companies
- nursery schools
- public sector
- mercantile managers
- others
The members are managers in production, commercial and mercantile functions in industry, commerce and services. In the petroleum industry non-graduate engineers are also included.
Lederne is divided into seven regions with their own regional committee. The regions consist of districts, the districts of divisions and the divisions of company groups. Ledernes main office is in Oslo, and the organization runs a regional office in Stavanger. Lederne has right of negotiation with several employer organizations.
Lederne is a member of Confederation Europeennes des Cadres (CEC).
The agreements are:
- Basic agreements with the Confederation of Norwegian Business and Industry (NHO), the federation of Norwegian Commercial and Service Enterprises (HSH) and the Federation for Cooperative Businesses (SAMFO).
- Management agreements with NHO, HSH, the Norwegian Shipowners Association and SAMFO.
- Collective / basic agreements and accords with the National Association of Labour markets Companies and the National Association of Employment Cooperative and Agriculture Employers Association.
- Special agreement with the Norwegian Hospitality Association.
- Agreements with several individual companies.

Insurance cover for non-Norwegian members
Lederne has a few non-Norwegian members employed by Norwegian companies. These members and their families are not covered by the member insurance scheme to the same extend as their Norwegian colleagues.
